Hulhumale' Veterans first claimed the championship in 2022 with a 1-0 win against Maldives Soccer Mates. Hussain Shimaz (Kokky) of Hulhumale' Veterans was named the top scorer and best player of the tournament, while Mohamed Sinaan (Naani) of Vilimale' United won the best goalkeeper award.

The best coach title went to Abdulla Shifau of Hulhumale' Veterans, and Police Club was recognized as the fair play team.

A total of 10 teams participated in the tournament, which is dedicated to former players. The teams were divided into two groups, with Hulhumale' Veterans advancing to the final after a 2-1 semi-final victory over Muiveyo Friends.

Vilimale' United reached the final by defeating Police Club in a penalty shootout, winning 6-5 after a 1-1 draw in regular time.
