The first-ever award night of the Dhivehi Youth League is scheduled to take place tomorrow evening.
Vice President Hussain Mohamed Latheef will take part in the award ceremony for the Dhivehi Youth League, a first of its kind in Maldives.
The league's first season featured three age groups; Under-12, Under-14, and Under-16.
During the awards ceremony, the Dream Team for each group will be selected. The Under-12 Dream Team will consist of eight players, while the Under-14 and Under-16 groups will each have 11 players in their respective Dream Teams.
The top scorer in the Under-16 league will receive the Golden Shoe award. Additionally, awards will be presented to the best coach from each age group.
Super United Sports emerged as the winner in the Under-12 category, TC claimed the Under-14 championship, and Valencia won the Under-16 title.
The Dhivehi Youth League was an initiative driven by a group of parents, including Ibrahim Nasheed, Sofwan Shameem, Hassan Nawaz Adam, and Ahmed Nawaz.
They wanted to offer competitive playing opportunities for young athletes, as their children were already being trained at various academies.
Despite being organized by Maldives Soccer Mates in collaboration with FAM, Hassan Manik, President of Soccer Mates and Chairperson of the Organizing Committee, said that all credit for the league's success goes to the parents.
