Saudi Arabia has announced that they will be establishing the Arabic Language Teaching Institution in Maldives.
Under Saudi Arabia's initiative to spread the knowledge of Arabic language globally, Saudi's King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud has instructed relevant authorities to establish an Arabic language teaching centre in the Maldives.
King Salman has appointed leading Saudi Arabian university Imam Muhammad University to lead the efforts.

A statement issued by the university recognized the cooperation received from Saudi Education Minister Yusuf Bin Abdulla Al Bunyan towards spreading Arabic language to muslim countries that do not speak the language.
It said that Dr Saleh bin Sulaiman Alarajah has been appointed as the Director of the Arabic Language Teaching Institute in Maldives, and efforts are underway to establish the center in collaboration with the Saudi Arabian Embassy in Maldives.
The President of the Imam Muhammad University stated that the establishment of the institution would contribute towards strengthening human and cultural discipline between the countries and increase international cooperation.
A post on social media X by the Saudi Embassy in Maldives announced that Ambassador Matrek AlDosari has held a meeting with Director of the Institute of Islamic and Arabic Sciences in the Maldives to finalize arrangements for the establishment of the Arabic Language Teaching Institute.
