Bayfancy Residences, currently under development in Hulhumalé Phase 2, is set to offer a refined living experience, combining the best of Singapore’s architectural style with a design that’s perfectly tailored for the Maldivian environment.

The design of the building draws inspiration from some of the world’s most prestigious luxury apartment complexes in the Maldives, Singapore, Malaysia, and China. “The Bayfancy Residences are designed to attract not only business professionals and local residents seeking an upgraded living space but also international buyers looking for a luxurious lifestyle in the Maldives,” said Woncar. He also emphasized that safety and privacy are top priorities for the development.

“Many luxury apartments include commercial units, which can compromise residents' privacy. To avoid this, we are building Bayfancy Residences without any commercial spaces. However, to ensure that residents have easy access to essential services, we’ve acquired an adjacent plot to develop commercial facilities,” he explained.

Once the building is completed, entering the lobby will offer an immediate sense of exclusivity and luxury. “We’re designing the lobby with a ceiling height of 6.6 meters and a total area of 150 square meters. We want everyone who walks in to feel as though they’re stepping into a five-star hotel,” he said.

Bayfancy Residences will stand 18 stories high, with all shared amenities located on the 17th floor, rather than on a lower floor as is typical in most residential buildings. “To provide the most comfortable living experience for our residents, we’ve located all shared facilities on the 17th floor—an observation level that offers stunning views,” said Woncar.

The 17th floor will feature a swimming pool, children’s play area, gym, yoga room, library, billiards room, barbecue area, as well as spaces for events, a conference room, and a multipurpose hall. “This design ensures that residents have access to the best equipment and the finest views in the building, making their living experience truly unparalleled,” he added.

Bayfancy Residences will be built with the highest-quality materials, incorporating natural beauty wherever possible to create a truly luxurious environment. “One of the standout features of this development is the garden that will span the full height of the building, designed with the residents’ well-being in mind,” said Woncar.

The development will offer a variety of unit types, including one-bedroom, two-bedroom, and three-bedroom apartments, as well as four penthouses. Construction is progressing on schedule, and the building is expected to be completed as planned.

“Our primary goal is to complete the project on time. We’ve successfully completed several large-scale projects, including the 650,000-square-meter Randa Villas in China, the 150,000-square-meter Randa Park, and the two-million-square-meter Randa International. With this experience, we’re confident that Bayfancy Residences will be completed on schedule,” Woncar assured, adding that “the project is moving forward quickly, and we’re on track to meet our deadlines.”

The sale of units will begin once construction reaches 20% completion, expected around April. “We’re already meeting with prospective buyers and will keep everyone informed about the latest developments,” he added.
