The heads of two of the key state owned developmental companies were fired on Sunday.

Maldives Transport and Contracting Company (MTCC) CEO Abdul Razzag Haleem and Maldives Road Development Corporation (MRDC) Managing Director Ibrahim Nazeem were dismissed effective Sunday, privatization and cooperation board said.

In addition, Sinan Ali was removed from the MTCC board.

The privatization board is yet to state a reason behind the sudden dismissals. However, a massive corruption case involving Nazeem had been filed at Anti Corruption Commission (ACC) recently.
