Luxury resort Amilla Fushi debuted the first SkyHouse with Bubble accommodation in Maldives on March 6.
The SkyHouse with Bubble, rests at a height of 12 meters above ground and was officially inaugurated by Minister of Tourism Ali Waheed in a ribbon-cutting ceremony held at ITB Berlin.
Equipped with a private infinity pool that gazes out among the canopy of palms and trees, the Skyhouse features a spacious bedroom with enviable views and suitably decadent en-suite bathroom - the newest cherry on top being the new addition of a transparent inflatable Bubble that measures four meters in diameter.
The Bubble comes fully equipped with a removable cover that provides solar protection during daylight hours while allowing for an undisruptive stargazing experience during the nighttime, complete with a telescope.
As an interior, the Bubble boasts wooden floors, a rotating daybed, a Bang & Olufsen sound system and bespoke furnishings.
The Bubbles, conceived and custom-designed by Eye In The Sky, are constructed with super-strong, high tech polyester fabric using exclusive Precontraint Serge Ferrari technology.
UV-protected, fully waterproof and climate-controlled, the Bubbles create an environment where guests can enjoy an immersive, close-to-nature experience without compromising on high-spec design and creature comforts.
The resort currently offers accommodation in a total of five Skyhouses, with the option of one or two bedrooms, catering to both couples and families.
Rates for this unique SkyHouse with Bubble Experience offered by Amilla Fushi are available on request including accommodation, specially designed destination dinner and breakfast served in the SkyHouse.
Amilla Fushi is located in the UNESCO world biosphere of Baa Atoll and offers a choice of 59 Houses that sit gracefully over crystal clear waters, nestle among lush treetops or hug shores of pristine white sand. The resort also provides eight bedroom Beach Residences ideally suited to large families, groups of friends and VVIPs seeking space and privacy.
Amilla Fushi can be reached either by seaplane in just thirty minutes from Velana International Airport (VIA).
