President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih appointed Hassan Sobir as the Maldivian Ambassador to Belgium and the European Union (EU) on Tuesday.
President Solih presented to the newly appointed Ambassador with the letter of credence at a ceremony held at the President’s Office.
The newly appointed ambassador attained a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from the University of South Australia, a Diploma in Economic Statistics from the United States of America and a Bachelor of Commerce from India.
Ambassador Hassan Sobir previously served as the Permanent Representative of Maldives to the UN Office in Geneva, non-resident Ambassador to the EU, High Commissioner to the United Kingdom and High Commissioner to the Republic of Singapore.
