The Criminal Court on Sunday released five of 21 individuals arrested in a drug bust.
Police made the arrests, including a minor and expatriate, upon receiving intelligence of illegal drug trade from a residence in Maafannu ward of capital Male'.
They discovered 28 rubber packets filled with narcotics from the residence.
According to the police spokesperson, the minor was freed without being presented to the court, while five others were released at the remand hearing.
Meanwhile, the court added five days to the remands of 12 suspects, and three days to the other three.
Police are currently investigating the case.
