Abdulla Jameel Moosa, a Civil Court Judge at the Dispute Resolution Section, resigned on Wednesday.
However, the reason for his resignation was not revealed.
Prior to being appointed as a Civil Court Judge, Jameel worked at a Magistrate Court in one of the islands.
After working at the Civil Court for several years, Jameel applied to the position of a High Court judge but did not receive the appointment.
Following Jameel’s resignation, the Civil Court now consists of 14 judges.
