MIANZ International (MI) College on Tuesday signed an agreement with Universiti Tun Hussein Onn Malaysia (UTHM), to teach their courses in Maldives.

On behalf of MI College, CEO Ahmed Mottaki signed the agreement while Vice-Chancellor Dr Wahid bin Razzaly signed on behalf of UTHM

Speaking at the ceremony, the Vice Chancellor of UTHM declared that UTHM assesses the teaching standards and methods of any university before entering into any such agreements.

“MIANZ International has all the qualities we look for”, said Dr Razzaly.

As per the agreement, UTMH courses will be taught at MI College for the next five years. The first course to be offered is a three-year Bachelor of Vocational Education (Multimedia Creative) with Honours.

MI College also revealed that the first batch of the course will have 30 to 50 slots. MI College’s Rector Lamya Abdulla Hadhee said that they will begin the course once it has been approved by Maldives Qualifications Authority.

“Although we are beginning with just one course, God willing, we will offer more courses of UTHM in the future,” said Lamya.
