The presidential Commission on Corruption and Asset Recovery opened case submissions on Tuesday regarding any corruption and embezzlement issues within the regime.

The commission was established in November 2018 by President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih to investigate cases of corruption, embezzlement, and misuse of state funds.

A statement released by the Asset Recovery Commission informed that any such cases that have not been properly investigated can be submitted to the commission before February 24. Complaints can be submitted via email as well.

The Asset Recovery Commission further revealed that cases or complaints can be filed anonymously through the commission’s website portal starting from next week onwards.

The commission has opened for submissions amidst backlash from the public over its lack of progress.
