Mohamed Raid was appointed as the new Managing Director of Maldives Integrated Tourism Development Corporation (MITDC).
According to the Privatization Board, this position was appointed to Mohamed Raid on Monday.
The position was previously filled by Mohamed Shahid.
MITDC was established in former President Abdulla Yameen Adul Gayoom’s administration, focusing on the investment of middle class tourism projects.
The 2017 audit report of MITDC revealed that the legitimacy of MVR 85.6 million the company earned in revenue and assets, was not proven.
