Foreign ministry to open temporary Biometric Clinic for Germany-Schengen Visa

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs, on Sunday, announced plans to host a temporary Germany-Schengen Visa Biometric Clinic in the capital city of Male’.

The clinic is organized by the Embassy of the Federal Republic of Germany and will be open from 0800 hours to 1800 hours on January 27-28 at the Foreign Ministry.

The ministry stated that the duration may be extended if there are numerous applicants.

The ministry said that the aim of the Biometric Clinic is to provide a convenient method for Maldivians to attain travel visas to Germany, including those who intend to participate in the Internationale Tourismus-Börse Berlin (ITB) Fair scheduled for March 2019.

The Biometric Clinic will be facilitated by VFS Global, a Dubai-based outsourcing and technology services specialist which manages visa and passport issuance-related work for 62 different client governments.

The clinic marks the first time for Schengen Visa Application Service to be provided in Maldives.
