Sinamale’ bridge, some roads to be closed for Solih’s inauguration

Maldives Police Service has revealed that the Sinamale’ bridge and some roads in capital city Male’ will be closed for the inauguration of President-Elect Ibrahim Mohamed Solih held on Saturday.

Traffic police, in a statement, revealed that the bridge and certain other roads will be closed at various times between 2pm and 7pm on Saturday and that the bridge will be closed during various hours between 4pm and 7pm on Friday due to the arrival of foreign dignitaries for the inaugural ceremony.

Whilst the ceremony is set to be held at Maldives National Football Stadium in Galolhu ward, security arrangements have been made around the premises.

India’s Prime Minister Narendra Modi and several other foreign dignitaries are set to attend Solih’s inauguration.
