Running mate of the ruling Progressive Party of Maldives (PPM) Dr. Mohamed Shaheem Ali, assures positive changes for Maldives under the regime of presidential election winner, Pres-Elect Ibrahim Mohamed Solih.
With due congratulations to election winner Pres-Elect Solih, Dr. Shaheem took to Twitter bidding togetherness and unity for the future of the Maldives, stating that the country comes first.

The government has officially announced Sunday's elections results with a triumphant win for the opposition coalition.
The preliminary results of the presidential elections record 134,616 votes for the opposition coalition and 96,132 votes for PPM. A staggering 89.22% of the eligible 262,135 turned out for yesterday's voting.
