An outlaw of India was arrested at Velana International Airport (VIA) on Saturday.

According to local media Mihaaru, the detainee is a man named Sri Nirmaldeep Singh Sidhu, a known fugitive who has gone by multiple monikers including Bodhi Singh in the past.

Media reports state that Singh Sidhu had previously worked at a yoga resort where he had a record of sexual harassment towards women. He had been captured in Mexico as well.

According to the media, Singh Sidhu currently uses the title "Sri" in front of his name under the guise of being a Hindu guru.

He had recently called on public groups to take up arms under his terror agenda.

Maldives Police Service declined to disclose details of the man arrested at VIA. However, local media reports that they are currently working to hand over Singh Sidhu to Indian authorities.
