Former managing director of Fenaka Corporation, Mohamed Nimal, and State Minister of Home Affairs Shifaq Mufeed have been appointed to senior posts at the Embassy of Maldives in Sri Lanka.
According to local media reports, Nimal and Mufeed have been appointed as Minister Counsellors, to serve under the Maldivian Ambassador to Sri Lanka, Mohamed Hussain Shareef.
In addition to Fenaka, Nimal had also served as the managing director of Maldives Road Development Corporation (MRDC), and a Deputy Minister of Tourism.
Mufeed had earlier served as the lawmaker of Fuvahmulah Constituency, as well as the vice president of the Human Rights Commission. He resigned from the rights watchdog and was appointed to a government post last year May.
