State Trading Organisation (STO) has yet again raised the prices of petrol and diesel by 35 laari and 41 laari per litre respectively, effective this Thursday.
The company stated that starting from May 24, a single liter of petrol would be sold for MVR 10.77 and a diesel litre would be sold for MVR 11.13 only.
According to a statement released by the company on Sunday, the prices were hiked due to changes in fuel rates on the global market.
This marks the fourth time STO adjusted the prices this year, with the most recent change made on May 6.
