Former Islamic minister in coma, now stable

Former Minister of Islamic Affairs Dr. Majeedh Abdul Bari has suffered a stroke and is currently under a medically induced coma, revealed his family on Saturday.

Former Minister of Islamic Affairs Dr. Majeedh Abdul Bari has suffered a stroke and is currently under a medically induced coma, revealed his family on Saturday.

Dr Bari, who is currently in Sri Lanka to attend a meeting, was found on the bathroom floor of his hotel room, according to a credible source.

His family has stated that Dr. Bari, who was rushed to the hospital and is now in Intensive Care, is stable. He had suffered a brain haemorrage, and was thus medically induced into a coma.

According to his family, the former minister suffers from blood pressure problems and has been taking prescribed medications.

He had left for Sri Lanka two days ago.
