A man has been arrested in relation to the stolen Ramadhan bonus funds from Gaafy Alif Atoll's Kolamaafushi.
According to the police, a 27 year old man was arrested from Kolamaafushi under a court order.
MVR 122,000 allocated as Ramadan bonus for the staff was stolen from the council office's safe. A council member noted that since there were additional funds, they cannot say for sure how much were stolen.
In addition to breaking the safe, the mosque funds had been stolen as well.
