Maldives Customs Services, on Sunday, announced new regulations for the declaration and delivery of goods to new and upcoming resorts.
The regulations were established for resorts currently undergoing construction and resorts to be constructed until the year 2020.
According to the regulations, the goods will be immediately delivered to the respective resorts after the declaration process with an issued fee.
The fee will be issued based on a cubic meter or a metric tonne scale. Customs further revealed in their statement that there will also be a fee acquired for the customs staff on site of the goods delivery.
