An apartment at Hiyaa Tower 11 sustained major damage in a fire incident this afternoon.

National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA) said that a fire broke out today at an apartment on the 23rd floor of Hiyaa Tower 11. The fire left the apartment's kitchen damaged beyond use, according to NDMA.

Besides the kitchen, the rest of the apartment has also been affected by heavy smoke, making it temporarily uninhabitable. In response, NDMA has arranged temporary shelter for a day, and meals for five days for four people who had been living in the affected apartment.

Authorities confirmed that no persons were injured in the fire.

Photos shared by NDMA on social media show extensive fire damage in the kitchen. The gas stove, pots and pans, and kitchen cabinets appear burned beyond use.

The cause of the fire has not yet been determined.
