A Maldivian doctor, Aishath Rizana Abdulla, who was on board the US Bangla flight when it crashed in Nepal, is reportedly suffering from a fracture in the spine.
The 38-year-old doctor is currently admitted in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) of Norvic International Hospital in Kathmandu.
Rizana is a doctor specializing in obstetrics and gynecology, based in Nepal.
According to trusted sources, Rizana’s condition has been improving over time. The source revealed that doctors suggested bed rest for a period of between one to two months.
Rizana had also suffered minor injuries to her skin during the plane crash.
The US Bangla flight had a total of 71 passengers on board, out of which 22 were injured and 49 were fatalities.
The crash was caused Monday afternoon after Flight BS211 veered off the runway while landing.
