Rathafandhoo Council said that along with their proposal, companies will need to present information and documents such as their time frame for the project in the lagoon, documents proving experience in the line of work and proposed monthly payments to the council as rent for their work. The announcement reads that when they present their price, it must not be lower than the minimum amount of MVR 0.25 the council has passed.
The relevant documents will be accepted before 5th November, 11:00 am at the council office.
According to the council, they will prioritize the company that presents the most adequate price and longer project time when granting permission for a mariculture farm.
