One of the individuals who sustained serious injuries in Friday's dangerous road accident in HDh. Kulhudhuffushi has been brought to capital Male' for more advanced care. 

As seen in a video circulating on social media, a motorcycle was turning from the Kulhudhuffushi main road onto an adjoining street when a speeding motorcycle coming down the main road crashes into it. The motorcycle turning onto the lane had a woman driving it, while the speeding motorcycle had two men on it. 

All three individuals involved in the crash sustained varying levels of injuries. 

Customer Service and Public Relations Director at Kulhudhuffushi Hospital, Mohamed Hussain, earlier said that following the accident, three people had been brought to the hospital for treatment. These include a 20 year old man, a 17 year old boy, and a 32 year old woman. 

The 17 year old only sustained scrapes and cuts, and was treated and discharged from hospital the same day, Hussain said. 

The other two accident victims sustained more serious injuries, he said.

The 20 year old suffered facial injuries, for which he underwent a CT scan at the Kulhudhuffushi Hospital. Later that day, he was transferred to a hospital in Male' for further treatment. 

The woman suffered a broken leg, and is still hospitalized in Kulhudhuffushi for treatment, he confirmed.
