Housing Development Corporation (HDC) stated they are opening up the idea of removing the temporary mosque near the Hulhumale' Hiyaa Park area and changing it to a part of the park for the public.

In a message to the Hiyaa Tower community group, HDC said a temporary mosque was established due to a lack of mosques and to make it more convenient to the people living in the area.

However, as additional mosques have been built near the Hiyaa Towers, HDC said they are preparing to remove the temporary mosque as was the plan previously and to change it to a part of the park area.

HDC opened up this idea to the public to seek their opinions.

HDC said the purpose of the survey is to identify how the temporary mosque is being used, to share information on development plans and to seek public opinion on proposed changes.

No personal information from those who fill the forms will be taken and the answers will be used to compile public opinion and compare them, said HDC.

HDC has expressed gratitude to public cooperation in making Hulhumale' a convenient place to live.
