The Scout Association of Maldives has opened submissions for a consultancy to develop the Symbolic Framework for the new National Scout Youth Programme under Project Raasthaa.

Consultants, teams and organizations are invited to submit technical and financial proposals by October 20, with clarifications accepted until October 15 via email at info@scout.mv or ypcommittee@scout.mv.

The Symbolic Framework will define the overarching theme, identity and storytelling elements that guide young people through the different sections of scouting. The association aims to create a framework rooted in Maldivian culture while remaining contemporary and engaging for today's youth. The consultancy will include an audit of the current framework, research into culturally authentic sources, and development of a national blueprint.

Project Raasthaa, funded by the Canada Fund for Local Initiatives, is focused on building a new Youth Programme for the association. Earlier this year, the Educational Proposal for the programme was launched following youth aspirations studies, youth perception studies, and stakeholder validation. The association further said that work is ongoing on the Award Scheme, Activity Repository and other programme components.
