It has been revealed that the individual who drove the motorcycle with three people on a one-way street at high speeds and got into an accident had an arrest warrant against them issued by the Criminal Court.
While five people were seriously injured in this dangerous accident, the person driving the motorcycle who caused the accident is Ahmed Uwais, H. Lamiya.
He was recently arrested for allegedly sending fake slips to pay for a stay at a guest house. He was taken to the Criminal Court on 1st October and remanded for 15 days.
However, information from the police states Uwais was released on Tuesday due to the investigation into the case being concluded. The dangerous accident occurred on the night he was released.
According to the arrest warrant against him by the Criminal Court, they described him as a danger to society should he be released from detention, and that he has an extensive criminal record.
He was also arrested for allegedly injuring a woman at a Hiyaa Flat apartment. He was arrested in a case where aid was given to someone to escape while under police care, and was sentenced to prison for 15 days.
The motorcycle Uwais was driving dangerously collided with a motorcycle that drove according to the law. The two people on that motorcycle are family members, with one of them having suffered a brain bleed. The other person had serious injuries on their face.
They are all currently being treated at Indira Gandhi Memorial Hospital (IGMH). Most recent information from the police states they are still in a critical state.
