Housing Development Corporation (HDC) has once again set a date to remove chairs and tables from cafes and restaurants for business purposes at the Hulhumale' Beach area.

HDC has previously stated as well to not put up tables and chairs and conduct business on the Hulhumale' Beach, with Hulhumale' being an island that has a large population.

An announcement made by HDC reads that conducting business in violation of the rules is prohibited and that they have made this very clear previously as well, but they highlight that there are those who operate the businesses without observing the rules.

HDC has set a date of 9th November for the beach to be vacated.

If food and drink are being sold without permission, they have appealed to conduct business after obtaining the proper permits.

HDC said that if business is conducted after the deadline, necessary steps will be taken with the relevant administrations.

According to the company, HDC will not be responsible for any damage incurred when they vacate the beach.

Even though the area was vacated previously when the public was informed to remove tables and chairs, business tends to restart there once more.
