Free vaccines for Umrah pilgrims under Hajj Corporation care

Male' residents can get their vaccines from the Male' Urban Primary Health Center. Arrangements have been made for island residents to receive their vaccines from health centers closest to them.

Arrangements have been made for Umrah pilgrims under Hajj Corporation's care to receive free vaccines at the health center nearest to the pilgrims.

The corporation said arrangements for vaccines being given with no additional cost was made previously but only in Male'.

From November onward however, pilgrims under Hajj Corporation's care will be able to receive free vaccination from Male' and other islands.

Umrah pilgrims are required to get three types of vaccines, which are polio, influenza and meningitis.

Male' residents can get their vaccines from the Male' Urban Primary Health Center. Arrangements have been made for island residents to receive their vaccines from health centers closest to them.

Those who want to get vaccinated have to take the "Vaccine Request Form" from Hajj Corporation's Faheli Online Portal. The document will also grant access to the influenza vaccine from StatePharma pharmacies free of charge.

"Hajj Corporation is working with government administrations and StatePharma to bring this service to citizens. This is an important step in making it more convenient for Umrah and Hajj pilgrims," said the corporation.
