Two Chinese tourists spending their holiday at Kandima Resort in Dhaalu Atoll drowned and died today.

Police stated that a Chinese female and male tourist entered the sea from a water villa at the resort. Police reported that when they were found unconscious in the sea and taken to the Dhaalu Atoll Hospital, they had already passed away.

Death incidents occurred in two other regions of the Maldives today as well.
