Car overturned in an accident in Malaysia: Imily's funeral prayer will be held after maghrib prayers this evening

The funeral of a Maldivian student who passed away in a car accident in Malaysia on Sunday night will be held today.

The deceased was identified as 22-year-old Aminah Imily Nazim of Hithadhoo, Addu City.

Imily’s family said the funeral prayers will be held in Malaysia after Maghrib prayers today at Al-Irsyad Mosque and Muslim Cemetery in Subang Jaya, Selangor.

Imily was a student at Taylor’s University in Malaysia. She passed away in the accident while travelling home from a shopping mall with another student.

The other student also sustained injuries in the accident.

Malaysian police are investigating the accident, and the taxi driver has been arrested. Police said the 37-year-old driver was under the influence of drugs at the time of the accident.
