Three names have been submitted to the Parliament to appoint an individual to the position of Deputy Commissioner General of Taxation at the Maldives Inland Revenue Authority (MIRA).
That position became vacant due to the previous holder of the position, Fathimath Ameeza, being appointed to the position of Commissioner General of Taxation.
Upon publicly announcing for applications to the position of Deputy Commissioner General of Taxation, President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu sent the names of three individuals among those who applied to the Parliament today to seek parliamentary approval.
They are:
- Ahmed Shafneez, Bagheechaaage / S. Hithadhoo
- Ahmed Mausoom, V. Miares
- Mariyam Jaidha, Kandugasdhoruge / K. Dhiffushi
To study this matter sent to the Parliament to appoint a preferred individual from among these figures to the position, it was sent to the Economic Committee at Monday's sitting of the Parliament.
