Students will have about three months of holidays next year, with the Ministry of Education’s newly released academic calendar outlining the school closure dates for 2027.
According to the calendar, the new academic year will begin on January 17, with the first holiday falling during the final 10 days of Ramadan, from February 26 to March 7.

- May 16 to 20: Mid-term break
- July 16 to 31: First-term holiday
- August 1: Start of the second term
- September 19 to 25: Second-term mid-term break
- December 9: End of the second term and start of the academic year holidays
Schools will close for the first mid-term break from May 16 to 20, followed by the first-term holiday from July 16 to 31.
The second term will begin on August 1, with the second mid-term break scheduled for September 19 to 25.
The academic year will end on December 9, 2027 with schools remaining closed for the year-end holidays. The next academic year is scheduled to begin on January 5, 2028.
