Marking 200 days until Majeediyya School turns 100 years old, a photo gallery featuring all the principals who have served the school was opened tonight at the National Art Gallery.
The photo gallery includes photographs and information of 25 principals, starting from Hussain Salahuddin, who served at the school in 1927, up to the current principal, Ahmed Mujahid.
The photo gallery was inaugurated by Dr. Ahmed Mohamed, State Minister of the Ministry of Education.

Speaking regarding the photo gallery, Ahmed Afaal, President of the Majeediyya Alumni Association, stated that these principals are individuals whose service to the school is evident from official histories and documents.
"We also gathered information from the grandchildren of Salahuddin, and we gathered information from the principals who are alive today. The most difficult challenge we faced was obtaining the information and photographs of the foreign principals who served the school," Afaal noted, highlighting the efforts undertaken by the association.

He stated that artificial intelligence (AI) and digital enhancement were utilized in producing the photographs of the principals who served previously.
Majeediyya School announced that the gallery will be open to the public this evening from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM, and on Saturday from 10:00 AM to 10:00 PM.

As Majeediyya School will complete 100 years next year, the school is preparing to celebrate the occasion grandly. A special countdown to mark the school's centennial was launched in 2024.
As the very first activity, a special music show named "Majeediyya Danmara" was held. This show was spearheaded by Majeediyya alumni who played music during their school days and beyond. A variety of other activities have continued to be held since then.

Teaching at Majeediyya School began on April 19, 1927. The school will reach its 100th anniversary on April 19, 2027. Previously, grand activities were also held in Malé to mark the occasion of Majeediyya's 75th anniversary.
