The "Boduthiladhunmathi Bodu Baazaaru" and "Island Carnival," recognized as the largest market held to date in the northern region of the Maldives, commenced Wednesday in Kulhudhuffushi City.

The event was officially inaugurated by the Mayor of Kulhudhuffushi City, Mohamed Athif.

Organized under the initiative of the Kulhudhuffushi City Council in collaboration with Adventure Up and targeted at the entire Boduthiladhunmathi region, the festival will run until the fourth of October.

The Kulhudhuffushi City Council stated that the festival features a grand market comprising 21 stalls, presenting a golden opportunity for businesses to simultaneously advertise and conduct trade within a major marketplace.

Additionally, the council noted that the "Island Carnival," designed for both children and adults, provides opportunities to experience a variety of different games, such as laser tag.

The council also stated that the event will feature services provided from sponsor tents, high-energy stage shows, and various competitions.

The Mayor of Kulhudhuffushi City stated that the market will serve as a commercial celebration for the entire north, accompanied by a festival of entertainment. To invite people to the market, the mayor personally visited every single island across Haa Alifu, Haa Dhaalu, and Shaviyani Atolls.
