Chairman of Eagle Hills Mohamed Alabbar has said Maldivians trust the company in their capacity as the company that is putting up the biggest investment in the history of the nation.
The company and the Maldivian government have signed a commercial terms agreement for a major project in Rasmale' named the "Maldives Waterfront and Marina". The government has decided to allocate a 500 hectare plot in Rasmale' to the company for the project, with some Maldivian political leaders expressing concern regarding the agreement.
While envisioning what Rasmale' would look like after the project is finished, Alabbar shared a video on Instagram that was created using Artificial Intelligence (AI), with his message reading the opportunity to head the project is a point of pride for his company. He also said they will work according to the hopes of Maldivians regarding the project in Rasmale'.
"Maldivians trust us as we are the company that is putting up the biggest investment the country has ever seen. This is a source of pride for us. May God help us, God willing, to live up to their expectations," said Alabbar in the video message.
In the message Alabbar started by giving details about the project in Rasmale'. He went on to say that they are creating a way of life and if someone were to purchase a property there, the returns could be among the best in the world.
He also read out a list of services and resources the location would have when the project is completed.
"We are creating a way of life where people can stay for a month, or stay for a week. It has beautiful beaches and restaurants and hotels and places for sports and places for children," said Alabbar.
Eagle Hills, one of the most famous companies in the United Arab Emirates (UAE), is preparing to take on this vast project, with Alabbar having previously given his assurance the project will move forward in a way that maximizes benefits for the Maldivian economy and its people.
