A man was injured after a motorcycle crashed into him while he was stopped on the Sinamale' Bridge during heavy rain, police said.

Police said the collision occurred on the Hulhumale' to Male' side of the bridge at about 2:20am.

According to police, one motorcycle had stopped on the side of the bridge because of heavy rain when another motorcycle crashed into it.

The driver of the motorcycle that was involved in the collision, a 30-year-old man, was injured in the accident.

Police said he is being treated at Indhira Gandhi Memorial Hospital (IGMH) for a fractured shin.

The accident is being investigated, police said.
