A 10-lane bowling arena and gaming arcade will be developed on vacant land in the Ruhgandu 2 area of Hulhumale', Housing Development Corporation (HDC) has said.

HDC said the project aims to develop Hulhumale' as an entertainment destination for residents of all ages and tourists.

The development will include a 10-lane bowling alley, gaming arcade and multi-purpose hall for parties and social events.

The site will also include a locker room, public toilets, showers for visitors who have been swimming, and parking facilities.

According to HDC, the project has been designed to minimize its impact on the area’s beach and existing vegetation and to avoid significant changes to the surrounding environment.

HDC said the development will provide a space for residents, families, young people, tourists and visitors from other islands to take part in sports and recreational activities.
