Ahmed Nizam, former Deputy Minister of the Ministry of Youth, was appointed to the board of the State Electric Company (STELCO) today.

Before being appointed as a Deputy Minister of the Youth Ministry, Nizam had also worked in the fields of project management and administrative governance.

The appointment of a new individual to the STELCO board comes at a time when the government has decided to dissolve Fenaka Corporation, a utility service provider covering a large part of the Maldives, and hand over that company's operations to STELCO.
