Police have apprehended the two individuals regarding the case where they were allegedly engaging in acts of public indecency on the balcony of a Hiyaa flat in Hulhumale' while visible to the public.

The public indecency act was visible from several neighboring towers.

Police began investigating after a video showing a man and woman allegedly engaging in a sexual act on the balcony of the Hiyaa tower 12 was shared on social media.

In the case where people committed indecent acts on the balcony of the Hiyaa flat apartment, police stated last night that a 36 year old man and a 25 year old woman were arrested.

Police also said they were remanded for five days when they were produced to court.

Public indecency acts are prohibited under Maldivian law.
