A 55-year-old tourist from Kazakhstan has passed away while diving in Fuvahmulah this morning.

Police said they received a report at 9.18am that a tourist had been found motionless underwater while diving in Fuvahmulah.

The man was taken to Fuvahmulah Hospital, where he was pronounced dead, police said.

Police are investigating the incident.
