MNDF Coast Guard has intercepted a foreign vessel which was fishing in Maldivian waters after unauthorized entry. 

In a post shared on social media, MNDF said that they have detained a boat which was fishing illegally in the Maldives' exclusive economic zone. They said that they are now in the process of transporting the vessel to Male'. 

The boat was seized 124 nautical miles outside of K. Dhiffushi, at which time six persons had been onboard the vessel, MNDF said. 

MNDF has not yet disclosed which country the vessel originates from.
