Maldives Police Service has announced employment opportunities.
Their announcement reads that they are looking for 29 candidates for the Special Constabulary Constable position.
The salary for the position is MVR 17,175.
The requirements state the interested parties must have completed Grade 10, should be between the ages of 18 to 35, and should not be under the height of 5 foot 3 inches for men and 5 feet for women.
Additional requirements:
- Applicants must not have a serious crime proven against them.
- If a serious crime has been proven against them, three years must have passed since they have served their sentence or three years must have passed since their punishment has been pardoned.
- The applicant must not have a record of an order of protection placed against them by a court in a domestic abuse case.
- The applicant must have the health, character and ability necessary to carry out the necessary duties of the police.
- The applicant must not be registered as a member of a political party, nor hold an elected post defined in the Constitution or in a law.
- The applicant must not have a criminal conviction of drug use.
In choosing who to employ, the police said applicants have to pass their aptitude test, physical fitness test, and a swimming test, with a medical examination being conducted as well.
The deadline to apply for the position is 30th September. Forms are to be submitted to the Shaheed Hussain Adam Building.
