Submissions have been opened to design a logo for the "National Respect Project."
Following President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu's decision to conduct a major national campaign to revive the habit of respect that is fading among Maldivians, an agreement was signed today with the media outlets participating in the project, opening submissions for the logo design.
The Ministry of Culture and Heritage and Public Service Media will take the lead in this activity.
The slogan designated for this five-year project is "The Joy of Respect - Benefit to Society".
According to the guidelines published by the ministry regarding the logo design, the logo must symbolize love and compassion within the framework of Islam and Maldivian culture, while using colors appropriate to the nation and the Maldivian environment.
Any registered club, association, or Maldivian aged 16 and above can participate in designing the logo. The deadline for submitting logos is 2:00 PM next Thursday.
The creator of the winning logo will receive MVR 60,000 as a prize.
Speaking at the ceremony held to sign agreements with the media partners of the project, Culture Minister Heena Waleed stated that consultations and opinions were sought from all ministries, clubs, and associations prior to the launch of the National Respect Project.
Heena stated that although it was decided to conduct the project for a period of five years, she believes the project should be carried out permanently targeting everyone in society. Therefore, Heena requested everyone's cooperation to make the project a success.
