Principal Secretary to the President on Policy and Manifesto Abdulla Nazim Ibrahim has resigned from the post today. 

A senior government official confirmed to Mihaaru that Nazim, who also earlier served as Health Minister, has resigned from his post today. 

"He submitted his resignation in writing today," a President's Office official confirmed. 

Nazim was appointed to the position at ministerial rank in early June this year. Reasons behind his resignation are not known as of yet. 

Under this administration, Nazim first served as Principal Secretary on Public Policy at the President's Office. Through a later cabinet shuffle, he was appointed as Health Minister on September 30, 2024. 

Following the government's significant loss in this April's Local Council Elections, ten members of the cabinet abruptly resigned. Nazim was among the ministers who handed in their resignations. 

However, he was later appointed to the post of Principal Secretary to the President on Policy and Manifesto at the President's Office.
