Ibrahim Mahir has retired from his position as a judge of the High Court.

High Court's social media post expressed gratitude for Mahir's valuable services as a judge.

Mahir, who has worked for many years in the judiciary, was appointed to the High Court in September 2025.

However, Mahir tendered his resignation to the Judicial Service Commission (JSC) in August, 11 months after he was appointed to the High Court, with the commission approving his retirement.

Mahir initially began working at the Civil Court. Five years later, he began serving as a judge for the Family Court in 2010 before being appointed to the High Court.

Mahir began serving as a judge for the High Court after leaving his position as Chief Judge of the Family Court in 2022.
