Three youths were arrested yesterday on suspicion of possessing over a kilogram of drugs and drug-laced vape cartridges.
According to the police website, a joint operation conducted by Drug Enforcement and Counter Narcotics Intelligence involved searching a house in Maafannu, where 1.7 kg of suspected drugs, 230 vape cartridges, 26 bottles of vape flavorings, and a bottle of alcohol were found.
The individuals arrested in connection with this case are:
- Hussain Shavin, 26, Saneevilla, K. Huraa
- Maryam Isha Ashraf, 21, Villa, Th. Thimarafushi
- Mohamed Nahil, 25, Reysham, S. Hulhudhoo
When presented before the Criminal Court to decide on their remand, Shavin and Isha were ordered to be remanded for 15 days, while Nahil was ordered to be remanded for five days.
