Once again, a dangerous accident has occurred near Vinares Tower 6 in Hulhumale' Phase 2, just days after a fatal accident in the area caused the death of a 9 year old. 

Saturday night's accident in front of Vinares Tower 7 left 9 year old Zeevaa Ahmed Sinan with critical injuries. On September 1, Zeevaa died while under treatment at the Intensive Care Unit at IGMH. 

A police media official said that the accident today was caused when a motorcycle driving north on Hithigas Magu hit a pedestrian crossing the street in front of Vinares Tower 6. The accident was reported to police at approximately 8am today. 

Police said that the accident was caused when the driver of the motorcycle had veered sharply to avoid hitting a child who had suddenly come out on the street to cross the road. The driver lost control of the motorcycle, leading to the crash. 

Police confirmed that the motorcycle had avoided hitting the child. However, the driver and passenger of the motorcycle sustained varying levels of injuries after having fallen when control of the vehicle was lost. 

Police said that the child had already left the scene when police had arrived. They stated that they are investigating the incident.
