MTCC was yesterday contracted infrastructural projects in four islands. 

The Ministry of Infrastructure, Housing and Urban Development stated that projects will be carried out in HA. Kelaa, HA. Muraidhoo, Dh. Ban'didhoo and B. Kihaadhoo under these agreements. 

The agreements were signed by MTCC Managing Director Ahmed Saudhy and State Minister of Infrastructure, Housing and Urban Development Ismail Hameed. 

The projects include harbour upgrading in Kelaa, as well as reclaiming land for fisheries infrastructure. This project is due to be completed within two years. 

In Muraidhoo, MTCC is contracted to conduct shore protection. 

A similar shore protection project has been awarded in Kihaadhoo as well, to be completed within approximately one year. 

In Ban'didhoo, MTCC is responsible for increasing the depth at the harbour area and developing the jetty within five months. 

The ministry has not disclosed the cost of these projects. 

Baarashu MP Ibrahim Shujau and Kelaa MP Abdulla Shareef also attended yesterday's ceremony at the ministry to sign these agreements.
